چکیده
Slab – column connections that are subjected to combined gravity and horizontal loading during an earthquake prone premature failure due punching shear. Traditional solutions avoid increase the displacement capacity of this type connection include using stirrups double-headed studs as shear reinforcement. The use High-Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete (HPFRC) in a small region slab around substitute for traditional is investigated paper, because material has potential reduce labor costs. To fulfill objective, four specimens with thickness 150 mm were tested under reversed drifts. results discussed detail. experimental variables considered top flexural reinforcement ratio, size HPFRC zone intensity load. Previously published tests serve reference used compare results. behavior was substantially improved compared terms drift capacity: from only 1.0% above 5.5%, even though very quantity used, extended up 1.5 times effective depth face column. Specimens also behaved better when High-Strength (HSC). Side effects vicinity unbalanced moment transfer lateral stiffness, well reduction deflections slab.

Mathematical Modeling of Column-Base Connections under Monotonic Loading
Some considerable damage to steel structures during the Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake occurred. Among them, many exposed-type column bases failed in several consistent patterns, such as brittle base plate fracture, excessive bolt elongation, unexpected early bolt failure, and inferior construction work, etc. The lessons from these phenomena led to the need for improved understanding of column base...

carbonate materials are mostly found in tropical areas, where exploiting gas and oil resources are of high concern. their unique behavior under shear loading first was recognised during oil resources investigations in the persian gulf. off-shore structures have been placed on carbonate soils which are highly crushable.during storms cyclic loading imposes on the bases of structures lied down on ...
متن کاملAnalytical and Experimental Investigation of I Beam-to-CFT Column Connections under Monotonic Loading (RESEARCH NOTE)
In this study, the behavior characteristics of I beam-to-concrete filled tube (CFT) column connection is studied through experiment and finite element models under the monotonic loading. To validate the finite element modeling, at first, an experimental model is made and experimented. After validation of the finite element modeling, different models were created in the software. The studied par...
